CHD-NJ’s Chapter Launch: Seeds of Change are Flourishing
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has. – Margaret Mead
On May 6th, New Jerseyans showed up strong at the Gateway Church in Bridgewater to ring in the newest chapter of Children’s Health Defense and demonstrate their commitment to defending the well-being of children in the Garden State.
The NJ Chapter launched with a celebration honoring the powerful grassroots movement that came before us. Chapter organizers, Ann Rosen, Dominique Venezia, Victoria Kapish and “Nurse Jen” Brown, welcomed over 130 passionate, curious and dedicated New Jerseyans as they paid homage to those who paved the way for health freedom and held the line at the “Battle of Trenton” in 2020, when legislation threatened to remove religious exemptions for vaccinations required to attend NJ schools and daycare facilities.
It was an afternoon steeped in gratitude and rooted in an intention to pay it forward.
New Jersey is a critical battleground state for health freedom and its triumph over draconian legislation can be credited to a diverse and determined community that overcame differences and pulled together to achieve a common goal. In an extraordinary “stone soup” effort, parents, educators, religious leaders and professionals gathered to contribute their expertise, skills and resources. The result was a recipe for achieving what they were told was impossible.
This has been the way in New Jersey. And the New Jersey Chapter hopes to nurture the precious seeds that have been planted here and amplify the voices of the people on the ground.
They Tried to Bury Them…
After a partial screening of The Real Anthony Fauci, Mary Holland, CHD’s President and Chief Legal Counsel on leave, addressed the importance of revisiting history and honoring the courage of journalists and scientists who gave voice to truth and dissent early on.

Investigative journalist and author, Celia Farber, then captivated the packed room with a moving and deeply personal account of the suppression and vitriol she encountered after highlighting dissenting voices like Peter Duesberg and Kary Mullis, and daring to question the AIDS narrative early in her career. Her newly re-released book, Serious Adverse Events: An Uncensored History of AIDS, documents the evolution of Fauci’s pathological pandemic playbook and the fall of public health science. Attendees, many who were hearing this history lesson for the first time, seized the opportunity to thank Celia, ask questions and get signed copies of her book.

Growing Forward
